This is the injection plastic mould for production light reflecting in Vehicle dashboard. Customer requested hot nozzle with cold runner on 3P mold ( normally customer side just has one robot per machine.) The function need show information property. The cav side polish and surface should be as smooth as possible. Since most of material in cav side. so it is necessary to put right draft angle and undercut to keep the parts in core side. This mold important is let the reflection surface smooth with right angle for light reflection. Designer simulated the light then decide the surface. Being of the construction problem. it is easy to stick to cav side. so we should pay more attention on the mold draft angle and kick off from the cavity problem.

1. From up drawing, you may see the material is on cavity side and draft angle is Cav. so we should find the way to keep the parts in core side.
2. This part, the size is less just around 220X100mm. but we put so many gates. it is being of the thickness is very small. we should use so many gates to let the filling to be balance .
3. Part weight is less than runner weight and the cycle time is mainly effected by the runner.
4. we use different gate size and runner size to balance the filling.
